Our Hosted LMS 'Pathway™'

Pathway™ is our simple hosted platform that is truly learner focused, providing access to a whole range of learning, from basic courses to complex certification. Pathway™ is a web-based application that is intuitive to use and provides continued support to learners, making social learning a reality.

The great news is that it is easier and cheaper to use than Moodle. The top five features listed of a recent deployment of Moodle are competency structure, management hierarchy, management of staff performance and development, classroom management and a dashboard. None of these list Learning!  We supply supportive management functionality that provides everything you need without the bloat of a traditional LMS.

More L, just enough M, no worries about the S!  Pathway™ is suitable for large or small scale deployments where the Learner is the one who matters!

What's Hosted Learning Support?

Hosted support means that we provide the application platform to you, online, over the Internet. You don't have to get involved in any technical set-up or maintenance of web server applications as we take care of all that for you. You and your e-learners only need a standard web browser and an Internet connection to use Pathway™.  You simply navigate to a secure URL that we supply, log in and you're on your way.

Who uses Pathway™?

Businesses and organisations that want the benefits of online and classroom learning, coupled with the ability to add informal and collaborative (social) learning to the mix use Pathway™.  Pathway™ is ideal, too, for those who want to take the first step towards exploring the benefits of online or blended learning, alongside conventional face-to-face learning.

More about our Learning Support System

Pathway™ from WillowDNA is built around the concept of a Learning Path - a series of activities that learners follow in order to learn something. A Learning Path can be complex or simple and we will design the structure and resources to suit your material (see e-Learning Plus for more).

Pathway™ is designed to support three learning channels:

Classroom:

  • Most of the learning occurs in the classroom but the learning is supported online

Blended:

  • Online and face-to-face activities are blended to create a complete programme

Online:

  • The learning happens completely online

Pathway™ supports ‘synchronous’ or ‘asynchronous’ Learning Paths.  A synchronous Learning Path is one that learners follow as cohorts and incorporates time-based activities, for example a webinar or a workshop.  An asynchronous Learning Path is followed at an individual’s own pace; there are no time-based activities but it is possible to interact with other learners or an e-tutor.
